National Indigenous Peoples Day Celebration on the Springbank Off-stream Reservoir (SR1) Project

The Springbank Off-stream Reservoir Project (SR1) is a dry reservoir that can store water temporarily during a flood event, working together with other flood mitigation projects such as upgrades to the Glenmore Reservoir. The Springbank Reservoir is designed to reduce flood risk by managing flow rates and volume in the Elbow River.
Once operational, the facility will be maintained and operated by Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation.
